We all hear the news, Google Bookmarks is closing after September 30th, 2021. For a lot of us, this kind of service is very important.

The first Bookmark service I use was del.icio.us, it was perfect, but it was acquired by Yahoo! and they decide to sold it to another company and never was again the same service.

For me, Google Bookmarks was the place I run for refuge. It was simple, it does the job and it was free. But not anymore.

I look for alternatives, but none of them were as simple or a free option. So, I am a developer, why don’t take action and create my own?

So, after spending a couple of weekends here I present you Store My Link bookmark service. Is simple, 100% free, 100% ad-free and, the most important, I will never ever will use the information on any matter for profit. I promise as long I can take care of the service it will remain like this.

Current features are: save your links, tag them, create minified URL to share it, save link from BookMarklet, and import links from Google Bookmarks (oh yeah!, I enjoy doing this particular feature!). I plan to add more features, but let’s see how this goes.
